PE Teacher

  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Education (Texas A&M University)

  • Basketball Letterman (Texas A&M University)

  • Physical Education certification for all levels

  • Thirty years of teaching and coaching experience in public schools

  • Director of summer sports camps throughout my career

This is my first year at The Grove Community School, and I’m grateful to be a part of this wonderful staff and community.  I’ve been involved in sports all my life, and I have a passion for working with young people and encouraging them to be active and enjoy playing a variety of sports.  I truly believe physical education teaches so many valuable skills and lessons that can help children be more successful in all areas of their life.

I retired in 2019 from full time teaching and coaching to spend more time with my family, especially my three grandchildren.  I also play league tennis most mornings and love the challenge of the game and the camaraderie with my teammates. Being able to teach PE part time at The Grove allows me to continue sharing my passion for sports and inspiring young children to enjoy physical activities and games.  I’m looking forward to a fun year of PE!
