High School
Grades 9-12
Independent, Supported, and Growing into a Full High School Experience.

The Grove is developing a high school program that reflects everything families love about our younger and middle years: strong relationships, meaningful work, clear expectations, and intentional academics.
As we grow, our goal is to create a full, structured high school pathway rooted in the same values that guide the rest of our school.

Right now, our high school operates as a guided independent study program with teacher support and is expanding intentionally each year as enrollment increases. Students benefit from individualized academic planning, strong writing and communication expectations, ongoing mentorship, and the opportunity to earn dual credit through Lone Star College.

This is a unique opportunity for students to stay in a supportive, relationship-driven community while building a strong academic foundation for the future.

What Our High School Program Provides Today
Guided Independent Study
Students complete coursework through accredited curriculum and online programs while receiving in-person support. Teachers provide structure, accountability, pacing guidance, and academic help throughout the week.

Dual Credit Through Lone Star College
Students may take dual credit classes at Lone Star College, earning both high school and college credits. Dual credit offers:
-
Advanced academic opportunities
-
A stronger transcript for college admissions
-
Exposure to college-level expectations
-
The confidence of early college success

This option allows Grove students to access rigorous coursework while remaining in a supportive environment.

Personalized Academic Planning
We work closely with each student to build an individualized plan aligned with their strengths, goals, and future aspirations, including college pathways, dual credit sequencing, electives, and real-world interests.

Writing, Communication, and Research Skills
High school students continue to develop the writing foundations built in Grades 7–8:
-
MLA formatting
-
Research projects
-
Essay writing
-
Analytical thinking
-
Presentations & public speaking
-
Note-taking and academic organization
Clear writing and communication remain central to our program.

Teacher Support & Mentorship
Students meet regularly with a designated teacher who offers guidance, accountability, encouragement, and academic help.
Independence does not mean learning alone.

Real-World Projects & Life Skills
Students explore interests, complete real-world projects, develop practical skills, and participate in community experiences and career exploration.

How Montessori Evolves at the High School Level
