Relationship Building
The Grove staff values their relationship with students and parents above all else. We know that if we can connect with a student, the sky is the limit. To that end, we start every morning with a community meeting which allows us to get to know our students at every program level.

Relationship Building
The Grove staff values their relationship with students and parents above all else. We know that if we can connect with a student, the sky is the limit. To that end, The Grove staff will be ready to enthusiastically greet your child every morning in car line. We then start every morning with a community meeting which allows us to get to know our students at every program level.

Purposeful Learning ~ Strong Foundations ~ Meaningful Growth
From our youngest learners through grade 8 (with our high school program developing), The Grove offers an education rooted in relationships, academic clarity, and meaningful work.

Relationship-First Learning
At The Grove, our greatest priority is connection; teachers who know each student's strengths, interest, and goals, and families who partner with us in growth.

Every morning begins with a community check-in. Students are welcomed, grounded, and prepared to learn. We believe that when children feel known and supported, they do their best work.

Montessori-Informed, Academically Intentional
We are authentically Montessori, emphasizing independence, meaningful work, and respect for the learner. We evolve this approach as students grow.
Early years emphasize choice and exploration. Middle Years (grades 4-8) balance that with stronger academic structure which includes writing instruction, math mastery, research, and leadership. This is Montessori informed and academically rigorous.
Academic Focus Areas

Writing & Communication
Strong communication is central to our program. Students learn to write clearly, think deeply, and share ideas confidently. By Grades 4–8 they build paragraphs, essays, research papers, and presentations.
In our high school phase, writing and communication advance further through MLA formatting, research, and dual-credit opportunities.

Mathematics & Science
We anchor every student in numeracy and mathematical thinking. In early grades we build fluency; in the middle years we move into abstract reasoning, problem-solving, labs, and real-world applications.
In future high school years you’ll see advanced math pathways, scientific investigation, and engineering-style work.

Inquiry, Critical Thinking & Real-World Learning
From literature and Socratic seminars to outdoor investigations and hands-on projects, students learn to ask questions, analyze sources, make connections, and collaborate. We embed purpose and relevance in every subject.

Executive Functioning & Independence
Preparing for high school and beyond means more than content. At The Grove students learn planning, organization, time-management, self-advocacy, and leadership. These habits begin early and mature through the Middle Years.

Middle Years Highlight (Grades 4–8)
This continuum stands at the heart of our academic program:
-
Foundations (Grades 4–6): Writing habits, reading comprehension, math mastery, hands-on science, growing independence.
-
Leadership & Preparation (Grades 7–8): Research, essays, advanced math, lab science, leadership roles, long-term planning and accountability.

High School Program (Coming Soon)
As our Middle Years students progress upward, we are building a full high school experience that retains the relationship-driven, hands-on values of The Grove while offering advanced academics, dual credit through Lone Star College, and meaningful preparation for college or career.

Why Our Approach Matters
-
Students learn in small classes, with teachers who know them well and guide their growth.
-
Learning isn’t busywork — it’s purposeful, real, and relevant.
-
Students build both skill and character — strong academics, meaningful relationships, leadership and confidence.
-
We prioritize balance: high expectations without undue stress, independence with guidance, structure with choice.
-
Through every stage, our focus remains clear: preparing young people to think, communicate, collaborate, and lead.
