I am originally from Austin, Texas.  After graduating from high school, I moved to Fort Worth to attend college at TCU where I studied Art and Art History (emphasis in photography). During my studies, I also had the opportunity to study art abroad in Europe for several semesters and then lived for a few years after college in Italy where I worked as an Au Pair.

I went back to school for a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas State University and have been teaching ever since.

My Montessori journey began while working as a summer guide for a Montessori school in Austin while I was completing my degree. I was suddenly exposed to this way of learning that completely resonated with me and I have been a proponent of this teaching philosophy ever since.

I knew when I had children I would seek out a Montessori school and I'm so happy to have landed at The Grove where my children have thrived and the teachers have felt like family. It's an honor to join this amazing school and work alongside this group of talented educators.
